Back in 2003 when we started Hatch we had some pretty cool ideas for reels. These ideas included different colors, frame designs, finishes, engraving, special use reels and so forth. However, it was more important at that time to come out with a foundation line of reels first, that would cover all line weights and the majority of fishing applications. Now that our foundation reels are complete it’s time to blow your minds a little by offering some of the most unique and exciting fly reels ever built. Enter the Custom Shop. In mid 2008 we started the Custom Shop as an outlet for both Danny and I to feed our creative need. This is where you’ll be able to see the latest concepts and creations to come out of Hatch. It is our goal to release one to five new reels per year in limited quantities for you to buy, collect and hopefully – use. We may only do a one off a reel, or we may to a series of 50. Who knows? Many of you will have questions, many already have, and we’ll be happy to answer them. The best way to find out what’s going on is right here on our web site. Thirty days before the release of a new reel we will post photos and descriptions of it here first for all to see. We will include the price and where you can get one. We will also let you know when they are GONE. This is going to be fun, so lets rock and roll. John |
