Justin Spence & Travis Hansen
United States, Wyoming, West Yellowstone
Justin and Travis own and operate the West Yellowstone Fly Shop and Saving the World Fly Fishing Company. Combined, they have over 17 years in the fly fishing industry. Since 2002, they have been chasing the endless summer of fly-fishing, splitting time between West Yellowstone, MT and San Martin de Los Andes, Argentina. Justin grew up in Orofino, ID, on the banks of the Clearwater River. He has been fly-fishing for over a decade, and enjoys it more now than ever. Justin is fluent in Spanish, and through his travels and experiences he has discovered an incredible gift to teach fly-fishing to anglers of all ages and skill levels. He is a passionate and devout student of modern fly-casting and can often be found in the park practicing his art or trying out a new rod and line. Justin, his wife Rachel, and new daughter Ariela spend their winters in San Martin De Los Andes, Argentina setting up custom fishing trips and exploring waters throughout South America. Travis was born and raised in West Yellowstone, MT, and grew up fishing, hunting, skiing, biking and exploring the Greater Yellowstone area. He is one of the few guides in town that can claim true local status. He began working in fly shops at age 15, immersing himself in the fishing life. In short order, he honed his casting and angling skills. TravЄs main fishing interest lies in pursuing trout, but has also spent time pursuing steelhead on the west coast and in South America. Their business and personal goal is to experience, teach and promote fly fishing as a fun and exciting way to enjoy life and experience the outdoors while stressing the importance of conservation and giving back more than you take from any situation.
