Chris O'donnell
United States, Oregon, Maupin
Chris began exploring the rivers of OregonХs north coast with his father at the tender age of four years old. At age eleven, on a guided trip on Alaska's Kenai River, Chris discovered the closest thing to being a professional fisherman & a fishing guide! Since that day Chris has invested over a decade exploring practically every trout and steelhead fishery in Oregon, searching for the ideal waters to guide. At the age of 17 Chris was confident he had found them: The Lower Deschutes River and the north Oregon coast. Chris began his guiding career fresh out of high school. His first job was guiding for the Numb-Butt Fly Company in Bend, Oregon. In 2005 Chris became an owner of Adventures in Fly Fishing, a Deschutes River guide service since 1985. Chris' year 'round guiding program takes you from trout and summer steelhead fishing on the Deschutes to spey fishing for native winter steelhead on a small handful of rivers near Tillamook on the Oregon coast. Chris resides in Maupin, Oregon on the banks of the Lower Deschutes River. www.fishdeschutes.com
