Growing up in Washington state, Shawn Taylor has loved all things outdoors for as long as he can remember! Shawn started guiding hunting trips at 19 and owned his own bird hunting business soon after. Shawn thought he should get serious about life and went to college in Montana. However the proximity of excellent hunting and fishing proved to be too much and soon Shawn decided to begin guiding again. Flyfishing is his number one passion; he calls guiding the job of instant gratification. Shawn does not measure his success by numbers or the size of the fish his clients catch, it is about the interaction and relationships he builds through his passion. One can find Shawn guiding flyfishing from April to November in Montana and Washington, and guiding hunting trips in November and December at the outfitting business he owns in Illinois. He takes great pride in introducing and teaching people of all ages and skill levels about the wonderful sport of flyfishing! Shawn believes that thereХs no such thing as a bad day at his ТofficeУ; itХs just that some days are better than others. He lives by the creed of Тgood guides love to live through their clients experiences.У ShawnХs flyfishing has taken him and his family (wife, Joy, and two sons, Cy and Chase) to Alaska, Montana, and most recently back home to the state of Washington. It is here that Shawn also owns Evergreen Anglers and is heading the flyfishing operation at Northern Lights Lodge in NE Washington for rainbow trout as well as steelhead on specific waters.
