CAPT. Joe Leclair
United States, Massachusetts, Cape Cod
Captain Joe spends 1/2 of the year in the cool waters along the shores of Cape Cod and The Elizabeth Islands chasing Striped Bass, Bluefish, False Albacore, and Bonito. In addition Captain Joe spends about 1/2 of his time on the water in the Northeast chasing Atlantic Blue fin Tuna with the fly rod. It has been a passion and continues to be a lifetime goal to put people on these incredible big game species. The second 1/2 of the year Joe fishes out of Boca Grande in Southwest Florida where he fishes the waters around Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound, and The Gulf of Mexico. The Captain is licensed to guide in The Everglades National Park and runs multiple day camping and fishing trips into the park. Starting in early November and working with an ultra shallow draft Carbon Kevlar Technical Poling Skiff until the end of May, Joe chases Snook, Redfish, and Tarpon in the backcountry. Although the captain is completely obsessed with fishing and catching game fish he enjoys spending time with his family and also wears the hat of son, father, husband, brother, and friend while living the life of a full time fishing guide.
