Capt. John Meskauskas had two passions while growing up in Stuart, Florida, baseball and fishing. After a 3 year stint with the Colorado Rockies organization, John returned to Stuart to pursue his other passion. Now John is highly regarded as one of the premier fly fishing guides in South Florida. John has been fishing the waters of Stuart, Florida for over 20 years and has been a full time guide for the last 10. Stuart is home to a very diverse fishery. You can spend a relaxing day on the Indian River Lagoon, an inshore estuary with snook, trout, redfish, and tarpon, or test your skills outside against beach roaming tarpon, giant jack crevalle and permit. John is the type of guide that really loves what he does whether it’s guiding clients, giving casting lessons, tying flies, photographing, or just fishing on his own.
