Capt. Alec Griffin has been fishing the shallow water marshes around New Orleans for about 10 years. As a native to North Carolina, Alec grew up chasing Brook Trout in the Smoky Mountains and then pursued a higher learning of fly-fishing while attending Appalachian State University. After graduating, Alec moved to Jackson Hole, WY where he spent the next 3 years working in fly shops and guiding some of the great Western Rivers. He then found his way to New Orleans and after one day of chasing Redfish on the marsh, he knew he would never leave Louisiana. He has been fishing the shallow water marshes around New Orleans ever since and is a true Redfish addict. Alec is a professional guide and seasoned fly-casting instructor and he welcomes anglers of all skill levels to his flats skiff. He believes that Louisiana offers the best fly-fishing opportunities in the world and can't wait to share his "fly-fishing paradise" with you. Spend a day roaming the marshes just South of New Orleans with Alec and you'll see why he has chosen to make Louisiana his home for life. His laid back approach will put you at ease immediately and his passion for Redfish and the beautiful marsh they inhabit will have you on your way to your own Louisiana Redfish addiction.
