International angling and tackle consultant, photographer, writer and guide: Capt. Andrew Cummings has been at the helm for over two decades in the Northeast, Southeast, Caribbean, Australia, Central and South America.  Andrew pursues his personal passion for fly & light tackle ventures, off-shore & pelagic vertical drops and warm water pursuits.

Since the new millennium. Andrew’s sincere respect and concern for pelagic fisheries has put him in the forefront of research related tagging and tuna conservation efforts.  Andrew has guided to (9) IGFA World Records. When not pursuing game fish, Andrew shares his passion for the water – growing cultured oysters on his farm located in renowned Wellfleet Bay.

Capt. Cummings continuously works within the tackle industry as a consultant regarding research, development and design for some of the most successful manufacturers throughout the world. Andrew is also a trademarked fly designer.

An avid writer, reader and opportunistic photographer – Andrew’s writing and photography has appeared within the pages of Marlin, International Angler, Fly Fisherman, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Fly Fishing in Salt Water, Sport Fishing, National Fisherman, Voyages De Peche and a variety of other local, national and international publications.

Capt. Cummings has been featured on television productions including: Pesca Ventura (Italy), Americana Outdoors, Larry Dahlberg’s The Hunt for Big Fish and Inside Sportfishing.

Andrew has also contributed to NPR productions, including Nautical Minutes and The Encyclopedia of Life.

A passion for travel adventure and cultural exploration has led Andrew around the Globe. With handline, rod, reel, and camera he continues to seek the extensive shallows and depths anywhere he finds himself.
