Capt. Greg Vincent

ProStaff Greg Vincent

Greg is operations manager and co owner of H2O Bonefishing in The Bahamas. Although considered one of the premier flats fishing operations in The Islands, specializing in trophy sized bonefish and permit, H2O Bonefishing has an excellent offshore fly fishing program targeting a mix of offshore gamefish. The program however specializes in large Yellowfin Tuna on the fly as well as large Mahi mahi. An adventure program named ‘No Boundaries‘ rounds of what is an extremely diverse saltwater fly fishing outfit in the northern Bahamas. These varied and specialized programs attract a wide range of anglers from the very experienced to the complete novice. Greg has developed a saltwater flats fly-fishing school for those new to the flats fishing game or those wanting a more advanced level of instruction. Greg is about to enter his 12th year of operations at this location and spends a lot of his down time fishing personally, researching new options and areas both on the flats as well as inshore and offshore waters. Many a night is spent at his trusty vice and you may well recognize many of his Bonefishing patterns being sold internationally. Look for his latest patterns being sold in the US for 2013. Greg and Justin Rea have used Hatch reels to win the prestigious Del Brown Permit Tournament twice in the past 4 years and currently the only team to ever do so in the event’s history.

Even with so much experience behind him it is very evident when you meet Greg today how passionate he still is about the sport of fly-fishing. He’s always ready to share his experience and knowledge and enjoys teaching the skills he has been shown and those he has developed himself over the years. With almost 25 years in the fly-fishing business from Captain/guide in both salt as well as freshwater to managing fly fishing programs around the globe, Greg is undoubtedly part of a relatively minute core within the Industry. Greg’s thirst for fly fishing experiences in tandem with his existing experience in both the many salt and freshwater disciplines of the sport has put Greg in a unique situation of being able to travel almost anywhere and immediately be productive.
