Capt. Brett Novik

Brett’s love for the outdoors brought him to the Rocky Mountains from New York in the Spring of 1997. Having fished for Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill and the occasional Rainbow Trout in the rivers and lakes in Upstate New York and against his parent’s wishes, Brett pursued his obsession to make a living in the great outdoors and applied for a job as a guide on the South Fork of the Snake River. As luck would have it, soon after Brett arrived in Idaho, he met his wife, then Sue Talbot, and the two of them spent the next fifteen years guiding together on the South Fork and its surrounding waters. Together, they bring many years of experience matched with the patience to teach every skill level. In the winter months you will find Brett & Sue guiding in the waters of Louisiana for monster Redfish and in the Florida Keys for Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit under their charter business, OHC Fly Fishing Destinations. Brett’s list of accomplishments range from appearances on In Search of Fly Water on ESPN, Adventure Guides on the Outdoor Channel, a feature in Northwest Fly Fishing Magazine and most importantly, having made a career out of being a fish bum! He is currently an ambassador for Clacka Craft Drift Boats, Scientific Angler and Simms.
