My life in fly fishing isn’t a choice; it’s more of a calling. For my 12th birthday, my parents gave me a fly rod and it quickly became an extension of my hand. I fly fished my way through high school, college, and law school. I tied flies commercially to pay for books and beer. And I’ve quit jobs to fish an epic run. I fit my life around fly fishing, not the other way around. At some point, I believe, an angler can go only so far. The next step in the journey is taking others to paradise with you. And that’s why I guide. I’m a USCG licensed captain based out of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. We fish for striped bass on the expansive sand flats, blitzing bluefish in the chop, and the speedy bonito and false albacore. When I’m not fishing, I am a practicing lawyer representing, among groups, the fishing and outdoors industry.
