John Hudgens

John began working in the fly fishing industry since the early age of 16.  He had a bed in the fly tying department of Jacklin’s Fly Shop in West Yellowstone, MT where he worked his high-school summers being mentored on the sport of fly fishing by Bob Jacklin.  John has a degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana and has worked for Idaho Fish and Game on the Salmon River.  He guided the Henry’s Fork, Madison, South Fork of the Snake, and Yellowstone Park since the age of 18.  John has trained dogs and guided bird hunters in Eastern Oregon and Idaho.  He has spent many seasons guiding fishing and hosting trips in Patagonia, and is Yellow Dog’s program director for South America.  John moves between Island Park, ID and Bozeman, MT every year and travels the world often working for Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures.
