Martin Rieck

I come from a family where fishing has always been an issue and started fishing in my early years, then at the age of 14 I dedicated myself purely to fly fishing. I grew up in the north of Germany and in the beginning I spent many hours on the German and Danish Baltic Sea to catch the sea trout of a lifetime. Besides sea trout, pike play a big role in fishing in Germany, as they are our second largest predators that can be fished excellently with the fly.

Besides fly fishing, photography is a big part of my life and I am happy that I can now call both passions together my profession. I work as a content manager at adh-fishing and am involved in fly fishing from day to day, whether it is passing on knowledge and experience in texts or seminars and guidings directly on the water.

Annoyed I am still far from it and use every opportunity to explore the waters of this world, it is always important to me to catch wild fish. No matter if it is trout, salmon, peacocks or other species. I am particularly fond of Slovenia, a country where I have spent hundreds of days catching beautiful Marble Trout but I will probably never settle on one fish, as the attraction to new species is too nice

I am always looking for the perfect fish and the perfect moment, whether it's in private, at my job at adh-fishing or together with our friends from TheFlyFishingNation.
