Rolf Bünter

My name is Rolf Bünter, born in Switzerland and living in Winkel, a small village right next to the airport in Zurich. The ”virus” fly-fishing attacked me more than 25 years ago. As a certified instructor and guide, I have dedicated myself entirely to fly fishing.

I am the owner of my own fly fishing school and I make guidance. As a true casting freak, I like to be inspired by the best casters in the world and then develop my own style with my ideas and experience.

I like to fish on my home waters in Switzerland. To outwit a delicate fish with a sophisticated cast and the perfect drift, is my favorite challenge. In order to continue this in the future, I am myself a manager of two waters and am committed to the care and maintenance of them. With a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm I take care of them farsightedly.

I am also a member of the fly fishing department of the European Fly Fishing Association (EFFA) and a guide and crew member of Fly With Us.

Of course I’m always drawn across the borders. I like to travel abroad with my wife, also an enthusiastic fly fishing lady. Whether in fresh water (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland) or salt water (Florida, Bahamas), it is always a new challenge. In order to meet this challenge, it is important to me, that the quality of my equipment is right. That’s why I only trust Hatch for the reels.
